The metocean department has developed technology to enable real-time monitoring and dissemination.

This new technological development means GEMS can now provide real-time monitoring services around the world. Platforms, jetties and modern buoy based sensors can be installed in the most remote of locations, the data from which can be regularly transmitted to the group's office computers. Any uploaded data to GEMS' ftp site can then be downloaded directly by customers anywhere in the world, providing readily accessible, cost effective and convenient access.
